Airsoft Safety

Following some simple safety rules will ensure that AirSoft, CO2 guns, Airguns, or Paintball guns will provide a lasting and rewarding experience for the user. The most important rule is Eyewear - AirSoft guns cannot penetrate the skin, however, your eyes should be protected at all times and we have a good range of quality protective eyewear. If you're into skirmishing, then you may want to cover your face with full-face safety masks.

Airsoft is a live action simulation game where participants enact in faux combat scenarios using replica guns and rifles. Whilst the airsoft weapons from Airsoft Adventure fire 6mm plastic pellets, they are realistic replicas of actual guns and weapons. The airsoft guns and rifles are toys for adults and from a distance they still look like the real gun, Common sense should therefore be exercised when using airsoft products, especially in the times that we now live in with constant security threats. Waiving a weapon in public is only asking for trouble and causing an innocent bystander to fear for his/her life thinking you are carrying a real gun out in the open, or you could get arrested by the police for brandishing an apparent weapon in public. This action could also potentially jeopardise your own safety if the police suspect that you have a real gun.

The most vulnerable part of your body in an airsoft situation is the eyes. Always wear protective eye protection. There are many high quality safety goggles and spectacles on the market, suitable for the Airsoft games. While much smaller in size and density than a lob of paint from a traditional paintball gun, the 6mm BB pellets are not totally without their risks. Being hit on exposed skin by a plastic BB can leave a mark. Better not to shoot at exposed skin when participating in airsoft combat and always be fully clothed when at risk of being on the receiving end in a combat scenario. Outside of airsoft combat, NEVER SHOOT AT ANYONE, PERSON OR ANIMAL.

Make no mistake, upon missing the target and hitting a wall, the BB pellet will ricochet right back toward you before you can even get your finger off the trigger after firing the shot. Moreover, you never know where it will ricochet depending on the angle and velocity of the shot, the angle of the hit, and the angular refraction from the impact.

Even as a non-combat pastime, airsoft can be a fun way of idling time away with an airsoft gun and a target,. However, all it takes is a few publicised incidents of carelessness and stupidity to bring unwanted scrutiny down on airsoft and turn it into a societal bane rather than a recreational boon.

  1. Never remove your eye protection while on the field! You may only remove your eye protection in the staging area

  2. Honour and sportsmanship are expected at all times. Cheating is grounds for immediate ejection from the game and ban from the field. This goes for velocity limits, ammo rules, calling yourself out on the field, etc. Airsoft is a game of honour

  3. Any hit to any part of your body or tactical gear, including items worn around the waist or vest, constitutes a hit. Gun hits do not count

  4. If you are hit, yell 'HIT! HIT! HIT!' and raise your gun until it is safe to exit the firefight. Many players waive a red rag to signify they are hit. Stop shooting to let dead players exit the field

  5. When you are hit, leave the field immediately! Dead players do not loiter, observe the game, or speak to live players at any time. After you are hit, go to your first aid station quickly and quietly

  6. You must remain at your First Aid Station for 5 minutes before re-entering the game. The location of the First Aid Stations will vary so listen up during the briefing!

  7. NO SHOOTING WITHIN 25 FEET of another player, vehicle, or fixed position. Never shoot within twenty five feet. This means no charging bunkers, vehicles, or other players

  8. Call 'SURRENDER!' if you get within 25' of another player. Try not to let this happen! This is for unexpected contact, only. You may only 'surrender' an enemy that you have caught completely by surprise. If both players yell, 'SURRENDER!', then the first one to call it is still in the game. You cannot surrender vehicles or bunkers. Stay back and shoot it out!

  9. No physical contact with any players at any time

  10. If your eye protection fogs up or you cannot otherwise see, do not move around blindly. Instead call 'BLIND MAN! BLIND MAN! BLIND MAN!' repeatedly until everyone is calling it and realizes the game has stopped. The 'BLIND MAN!' call is used for all serious emergencies and only in the case of an emergency or injury because it stops the entire game. Note: running out of ammo or having a gun problem does not constitute an emergency!

  11. Contact the staff with any issues that arise on the field. Do not confront other players! Take any issues to Dave or the other staff and we will handle them. Most often, both players will be called out and/or ejected if they continue to have problems.

  12. No shooting in the parking lot or staging area! You may only shoot at the chrono station or on the field.

  13. Use proper firearms etiquette at all times. Keep your barrel pointed up or down- never muzzle sweep anyone. Treat the gun as if it was loaded at all times. Keep your safety on until ready to shoot.

WARNING FOR PARENTS:
The products that are sold on this website are not toys! This is NOT a product intended or designed for children. Many of the AirSoft guns look VERY similar to the real guns that they are modelled after. The use of any toy/BB gun in a crime carries the full circumstances as that of a real weapon. This product should be considered as dangerous as a real loaded firearm.

PURCHASE WARNING:
You must be 18 years old to order the AirSoft products on this website. If you are not over 18 please have your parents make the order for you.

SAFETY WARNING:
For your safety, ALWAYS wear eye protection while operating AirSoft BB guns. Do not point or fire any AirSoft gun at another human being. AirSoft guns can cause serious injury if fired at another person or animal, especially on certain areas of the body. Minors MUST have parental supervision when operating these BB guns. NEVER take or transport your AirSoft in open view. NEVER brandish or use the AirSoft guns in public areas. Check with your local ordinance on ownership and usage. It is the buyers responsibility to know your laws before you purchase.

TRANSPORTATION:
All airsoft replicas should be transported in a hard case with use of a lock. Magazines, clips, and ammunition should be stored separately. If a hard case is not available, a lockable fabric carry case is the next preferred choice. Again, ammunition and magazines should be stored separately, not in or on the case. If neither of the first two choices is available, the original box could be used, with magazines and ammunition stored separately. Never transport your airsoft replica without appropriate containment and never leave the gun visible in your car.
