Tokyo Marui version of Heckler & Koch Mk23 SOCOM Gas Airsoft Gun, Full Pistol Set

The Tokyo Marui MK23 SOCom NBB is definitely a gun for the metal gear solid fans! This model comes with pretty much everything you can get for the SOCOM, from a Marui Pro Silencer (Socom Type) to a working Light Attachment Module (LAM Unit). The gun is of gas blowback standards, even the top slide can be pulled back! (not when firing). This is all presented in a rigid foam padded Tactical Carry Case custom made for this set. Great for the Pistol and Accessories. Of course fitting the silencer and LAM unit (which comes attached) is optional, and you can configure the pistol to suit your particular requirement - Marui call's this 'Dynamic Entry Mode' & 'Silent Entry Mode'. Incidentally, when we were testing the fps on this model, we found the silencer actually had a significant effect on the sound of this when firing!
With the suppressor attached, the gun is very quiet, and is ideal for quietly taking out the opponents. The 'torch' section on the LAM is only an LED, but quite bright, and the 'laser' section is only a dim glowing red led.

In August 1991 the US Special Operations COMmand (pronounced SO-COM) requested a new 'Offensive' handgun for situations where a shoulder fired weapon was not suitable. The official name for the pistol is Mark 23, Mod 0 - more popularly known as the SOCOM.
Following 5 years of testing and development the US government awarded HK a contract to produce nearly 2000 Mk 23's. The suppressor sold with the real gun is made by Knight's Armament Company.
For stealth the slide can be locked allowing the gun to be fired without the slide moving making the whole action much quieter and accurate.
