SNUGPAK Fabric Information

SNUGPAK Fabric

SNUGPAK Fabric - Paratex Light

Paratex Light is a Lightweight Nylon Fabric

How it works: Finely constructed from fine filament yarns (34 strands per bundle 10,000 metres of each bundle weighing only 54 grammes) each filament 10 times finer than a human hair. the gaps between the fibres cause the moisture to wick across a larger surface area allowing it to evaporate more readily. As the perspiration is evaporating from within the fabric, the user is not cooled.

Ideal as a sleeping bag lining or as a casing fabric for lightweight low pack size insulated clothing.

  • Lightweight
  • Tough
  • Highly Breathable (will transmit 12 litres of moisture per m2 per 24 hours)
  • Wicking
  • Soft to the touch
  • Wind proof to the industry standard of 3 cubic feet per minute
  • Water Repellent a British Standard Spray Rating of 4 Minimum
