As part of
Snugpak's continuing development process to
keep our synthetic insulation at the leading edge we are pleased to introduce
the next
generation in
sleeping bag technology. Snugpak Softie
Premier uses the same basic principles as traditional Softie but improvements
in extrusion technology
and binding resins result in a finer, softer and more durable insulation.
 Reflectatherm
Reflectatherm layer - "Space Age technology" in a down to earth
application."
This metallised fabric is designed to reflect heat and retain warmth. A highly
breathable material, which adds little to the weight or pack size of
the product and provides at least 15% additional warmth whilst being
undetectable by touch in the
sleeping bag or garment.
 Supersoft
The inner lining of the Sleeper is "supersoft". A silky smooth "Nylon" fabric
specially woven to produce a highly durable and comfortable lining.
 TS1
Thermal suede is lightweight polyester with a sueded finish which uses a
combination of yarns with different thicknesses.
Microfiber yarns (less than
1 decitex) go on the outside and Macrofibre (3 decitex) go on the inside. The
Macro fibre yarns are raised to produce a short pile, similar in feel to
Suede.
The construction exploits a basic physical property - that water will always
move from a low to high surface area or from the Macro to Micro filament
yarns,
thus moving water from the body towards the outside of the
sleeping bag.
 Insufil
Snugpak Sleeper range are filled
with 'Insufil' siliconised hollowfibre.
The synthetic fibres are structured to trap warm air between tiny cavities in
the fibre. When unpacked the "Hollowfibres" decompress and spring
back to gain maximum re-loft.
 Travelsoft
The inner filling of the Travelpak sleeping bags. This
insulation is tailored to
Snugpak's exact brief, this ultra
lightweight,
high loft insulation is the new fill for the
Travelpak range of clothing. Thermally
insulated fine fibres are used which have excellent compressibility.
By design, these travel-orientated fibres provide an even lesser bulk of fill
than that of other
Snugpak sleeping bags, yet are still able to
perform highly efficiently.
The weight of the fibres makes it the perfect fill for adventure travel-
orientated
sleeping bags.
